İş Tanımı ve Genel Nitelikler /Job Description and General Qualifications: :wave:t4: Hello! We’re thrilled to have you consider joining us at Stationwise. We’re at an exciting time in our growth journey with signed customers and an MVP core staffing product in the market. So, where does that leave us? With the opportunity to keep building critical add-ons that complement our core tool. Keep reading  to see how you could fit in!

Who are we?
Stationwise builds firefighter-proof software. Marcus Edwards, the son of a second-gen fire captain, started the company while at Stanford Business School. The company’s first software solution, staffing, launched with departments across California, Illinois, and Texas in March 2024.

Committed to helping customers “fight fires, not software” the team has a global presence and over a dozen engineers to ensure 24/7 service. Murat Aydos, Middle East Technical University graduate, leads the engineering team, bringing both early and late-stage startup experience from Lyft and Udemy.

Where this could go?
We envision a collaborative, growth-centric summer experience. We will be continuing to refine our MVP staffing product over the summer while tackling our first add-ons.

In our 8 week summer internship program, you will gain exposure to the entire product development lifecycle, working on both existing and new features. You will work alongside with other software engineering interns under the supervision of experienced developers in both the US and Turkey.

We are looking to invest in you with this opportunity. The goal is to convert successful summer interns into part-time job offer in the fall of ‘24.

What are we looking for?
We are on the hunt for summer software engineers who are excited to build the best software for public servants, starting with the US Fire Service. Our first value is “in service of those who serve.” We are excited about candidates who are both proficient in skill and passionate about progress.

An initial list of qualifications is below:

Have a strong understanding of computer science fundamentals.
Demonstrated interest in web / mobile application development
Interest in extending the internship into a part-time position
Interns should be in Ankara during the internship period.

Why would you want to join us?
We like to think we are a pretty fun group to work with. And, it doesn’t hurt that the product is both exciting and challenging.

Some perks of joining us for the summer:

Monthly payment of 700 USD
Remote work with the opportunity to co-locate with the Ankara team
Highly motivated international team with headquarters in San Francisco
Senior mentorship (ex-Lyft, Udemy, Telcoin, Bain to name a few)
Free Stationwise swag
